The purpose of this role is to support the Transport Shift Manager and Compliance Manager within the transport operational running of the site. Working in a site which services some really blue-chip customers processing up to 800,000 parcels a day, You will be working with our driver teams to ensure a timely despatch and conduct effective driver debriefs, managing safety and legal compliance aspect
Our Warrington hub has been open for nearly 2 years now and is our flagship operations. We have a history of promoting from within following development of talented people and we see this as becoming more common in a business that is growing at a rate of over 20% a year! The site has a strong team-ethic and delivers great results and we’re seeking the right people with a great attitude to add to our already successful team.
Key Responsibilities are:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Traffic office environment but this is not essential. You will be a good communicator at all levels and have an adaptable attitude and approach to work. The role at time can be pressurised at times, especially in busy peaks so you must be able to work in a methodical effective way, meeting deadlines and demonstrate pro-activity and being hands on. PC skills would be an advantage but training will be given.
But….Hermes is not just looking for someone with Transport experience, we are seeking the next Transport Operations Manager and the successful candidate will have the characteristics to enable this.
