Role Overview

  • The Project Manager sits in the Organisational Structure of the Project Delivery Team
  • The Project Manager will be required to manage Project(s) on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Business within the constraints laid down
  • The Project Manager’s prime responsibility is to ensure that the Project(s) delivers to the agreed standard of quality and within the specified constraints of cost and time and on benefit

Responsibilities

The role will be required to manage allocated projects within the defined Project Lifecycle for Hermes UK, and to make a contribution to the Project Delivery Team to support the growth, development and success of the team.

  • Awareness and understanding of the benefits that the projects define as being delivered
  • Awareness and understanding of the measurement and benefits realisation methods that the Business Owners plan to use for the outputs of the project
  • Responsibility for ensuring the quality of core Project Documentation and that deliverables are appropriately assessed for quality standards
  • Maintain awareness of the overall Change Portfolio and understand their allocated projects position in the bigger picture, including dependencies up or downstream of their projects
  • Manage and deliver Projects to agreed objectives
  • Produce and monitor plans for delivery
  • Produce and manage core project documentation as per the current business Project Lifecycle to quality standards
  • Produce reporting relating to progress, risk management and issue identification
  • Work with Stakeholders to ensure relevant contributions are being made and to build working relationships with different functions of the business. Typically up to Senior Manager or Head of Function level, but could extend to Directorate

Qualifications

Essential

 

  • Data migration, ETL and Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Risk identification  & management
  • Financial & budgetary skills for monitoring and management
  • Problem detection and solving
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills  
  • Proven ability to deliver business intelligence type projects;
  • Proven experience of AGILE methodologies
