Responsibilities

Reporting to the Courier Recruitment Network Manager you will provide business support by developing and implementing effective recruitment practice, coordinating day-to-day courier recruitment activities and communications to help facilitate the optimisation of quality of service. Look at best working practices, SOP’s and the full end-to-end recruitment process.

 

You'll have acountability for specific tasks such as:

 

  • Lead, drive and oversee and delivery of the attraction, selection and on-boarding of Couriers across the network.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of volume and courier numbers are analysed and resource requirements are met.
  • Ensure the delivery of best practice procedures are adhered too and all recruitment selection tools are used in line with company policy.
  • Ensure compliance measures are met and all candidates have a great experience with Hermes that enhances the brand for future self-employed couriers.
  • Produces a strategy for candidate pipeline development and sourcing by utilising all available tools, including but not limited to company website,  social media, job boards, employee referral program, recruiting tools and third party assistance
  • Update all metrics and send weekly and ad-hoc courier recruitment updates and communications to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Challenging standards and develop solutions that improve efficiency and quality courier recruitment.
  • Manage the relationships with Regional Planners in order to gain insight into hard to recruit areas and collate weekly job advertising requests.
  • Manage the relationships with external Job Board providers.
  • Assist in designing and running geo-targeted attraction campaigns and documenting results and best practices.
  • Monitor and manage the budget relating to purchases associated with courier recruitment and carry out required spend analysis.
  • Upskilling Field Managers on recruitment techniques.

Qualifications

You will have the passion, drive and confidence to work cross functionally across the region as part of a growing team.  

 

Essential Skills for the role:

 

  • Previous recruitment experience with a particular emphasis on transactional and operational.
  • Planning short and long term recruitment activity and ensuring the management of others to achieve the overall goal
  • Confidence in communicating and escalating problems before they arise and helping to identify solutions to mitigate
  • Passionate about company image and committed to professional experience for all our candidates.
  • Professional appearance, articulate and able to communicate confidently at all levels.
  • Competent in negotiation skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple and/or complex tasks with evidence of successful outcomes
  • Strong MS Office experience; particularly MS Excel
  • Ability to identify trends and problem solve
