Overview

Myhermes is part of the Hermes UK business (c15% of turnover).  Myhermes c2c business is the largest competitor to Royal Mail in the UK c2c market, with 18% market share of the defined c2c market. We currently handle 19m parcels per annum via our own site and over 4m from indirect sales channels, with growth expectations to increase market share in the next 3-5 years.  Myhermes turnover exceeds £90m pa (2016/17).

 

Our International offering currently contributes an additional £2m pa (2016/17). Growth is expected from broadening the service proposition, and working with more partners. In 2017 we have approved significant capital expenditure plan, as part of a strategic digital programme

Responsibilities

  • Undertake analysis of available reporting of the myHermes service performance to establish appropriate trends and potential areas for action
  • Correlation of service performance to customer behaviour eg. Retention etc.
  • Establish and report on myHermes customer profitability
  • Identify and establish actions required from available customer insight data
  • Identify future requirements in order to drive increased customer insight and utilisation of the new reporting regime 
  • Provide required detailed analysis for new initiatives as they arise
  • Communicate effectively with all areas and levels of the business
  • To ensure the integrity and accuracy of the information that has been reported
  • To explain and answer queries from other areas of the business regarding reports and data provided
  • To assist in the development of myHermes new products
  • To liaise with other business units to identify and recommend improvement opportunities

Qualifications

Essential

  • Problem solving skills
  • Microsoft office skills, including high level of Excel, Access & PowerPoint competency
  • High level of business acumen
  • Communication skills written, presentation & verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all areas of the business
  • Ability to understand and analyse data
  • Ability to provide recommendations for actions to be taken based on analysis
  • Able to work on own initiative and have self-motivation
  • Able to work some unsociable hours in order to help understand analysis and resolve issues

Desirable

  • Knowledge & understanding of the Hermes operation throughout
  • Experience of cost management, commercial profitability
  • P&L knowledge

Previous working knowledge of customer insight & marketing
