Role Overview


The purpose of the role will be to provide lead technical services to all users as well as input to service delivery. The Infrastructure Manager will also support project delivery and act as a lead in absence of the Senior Infrastructure Manager.


  • Provide technical support to the IT service function.
  • Provide assurance to technical services provided by managed service providers.
  • Provide support to the Senior Infrastructure Manager.
  • Review and expand on existing system documentation
  • Provide input to incident resolution as required.
  • Take ownership of incident resolution as required
  • Provide detailed specifications to technical project requirements.
  • Provide technical support to project planning and delivery for IT infrastructure requirement
  • Co-ordinate and support the implementation of new IT infrastructure
  • Cover engineer support where required


  • Desktop Windows XP/7/10
  • Office 2010/2013/2016
  • 2003/2008/2012/2016 Server
  • Active Directory
  • Exchange environments
  • TCP/IP protocol and Windows infrastructure services (DHCP, WINS, DNS etc.)
  • Varying telephony design, implementation and support
  • LAN/WAN and Wireless technologies
  • Comms room experience, layout/patching
  • Remote access support including VPN and ADSL
  • Good knowledge of ITIL processes
  • CCNA qualification desirable
