Responsibilities

Reporting to the Deputy Transport Operations Manager, you will assist in the management and performance of the shift operation, covering all days of the week within rota patterns. You will be responsible for managing a team of Transport Supervisors and drivers, driving their development and the continuous improvement of the Transport operation, delivering great service at optimal cost.

 

You'll have accountability for specific tasks such as:

 

  • Monitoring adherence to daily plans through available vehicle telemetry and TMS, pro-actively managing issues before they arise
  • Being an ambassador for best practice, team development and effective communication.
  • Coaching and leading the teams to maintain motivation and engagement though 1-2-1’s
  • Compiling & analysing management reports from available MI / data
  • Driving standards in safety & legal compliance to reduce personal and vehicle accidents
  • Driving standards on debrief and optimising driving styles and driver productivity through managing driver assessor team.
