Our Midlands Super Hub launched in August last year. A £31million investment and the size of 33 football pitches, this hub will be the largest in Europe and will have the capacity to process 1.2 million parcels a day.


The purpose of this role is to assist in the management and performance of the shift operation with one of the core days being a Sunday.


You'll have accountability for specific tasks such as:

  • Ensure productivity levels are maximised on Inbound / Outbound areas through KPI management
  • Achieve the highest possible throughput via automated sorters
  • Monitor and implement safe trailer loading with a view to removing any possible damage to customer orders but still optimising trailer fills
  • Carry out daily yard checks to ensure inbound and outbound goods are being identified
  • Close Management and support of Section Leader and Team Leaders to ensure key targets are met
  • Monitor & manage sickness, absence and holiday levels
  • Ensure that all required reporting documentation/manifests are maintained to the required standard & timescales

Essential Skills for the role:

  • Experience of Distribution Management
  • Key understanding of KPI’s and their drivers
  • Ability to succeed in a fluid and fast moving environment
  • Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment
  • PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Good communicator – able to liaise at all levels
  • Great motivational skills
