    Purpose of the Role

    Grow Hermes Business account volumes by developing existing customers and ensure that all business accounts are trading to agreed volumes. Ensure that all aspects of the Hermes Business accounts are managed in a profitable manor, including, Invoicing, collections and refunds.


    • Manage existing partners to ensure we maximize Our (Hermes) share of their shipped volume
    • Promote new services within Hermes Business accounts as appropriate
    • Manage the relationships with Business Account holders on an ongoing Basis. By regular calls to review service, performance, taking corrective action where adverse trends are evident
    • Prepare & maintain records within the CRM system for each customer to ensure the business can forecast account volumes, assess account performance and apply the correct pricing
    • Liaise with Finance and Legal to ensure invoices are paid in a timely
    • Work with the Sales and marketing team to support sales of the Hermes services for new and existing clients
    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure the smooth transfer of account to account management
    • Manage the targets for customer retention and ensure delivery of those targets by maintaining excellent relationship with the Business Account Holder
    • Work closely with both customer services and the customer service managers to ensure Hermes Business Account Holders receive a service within the agreed SLA’s
    • Undertake any reasonable request from the Hermes Sales Management team
    • Manage in the region of 10 corporate clients and conduct client visits when necessary


    • Possess a can do attitude, a strong work ethic and the mindset to make your portfolio grow
    • Good educational background including Maths and English GCSE
    • Show strong potential for a career in account management
    • Possess experience in dealing with demanding customers
    • Customer database management, numerate, analytical, communication and inter personal skills
    • High level of competence in use of Microsoft Office
    • B2C home shopping industry knowledge and experience
    • Excellent written, and verbal communications
    • Desire to learn about operational cost, commercial profitability and P&L
    • Must demonstrate the capability to work on own initiative, be self motivated, sometimes working unsociable hours
    • Must be articulate and comfortable when dealing with people at all levels, with much emphasis placed on verbal communication
    • Must be confident in their delivery of facts and opinions with an outgoing personality
