    Role Overview

    If you have a passion for IT and are wanting to start an apprenticeship then this opportunity will be perfect for you.

    As an IT apprentice you will shadow team members initially while learning the basics of the role as well as having a dedicated mentor from a Lead/Senior or Middleweight role to work closely alongside you. 

    While you are learning on the job, you will be expected to help with the product delivery and working on small tasks independently as you build your confidence.

    You will also support other members of the team on larger tasks, ensuring you are building a working knowledge of how work is completed, and giving you the chance to make a real difference. 


    This role will be a 4 year fixed-term contract and you will be expected to pass your qualification within the time frame. 


    • Work under direction from a more senior member of the squad/tribe
    • Seek support from more senior team members to help with issues or enquiries you receive
    • Have your work reviewed by more senior team members


    • Work well within a team
    • Working with other members of the squad/tribe on work items


    • Able to work on standard items alone once trained
    • Asks for help when unexpected issues arise

    Business Skills

    • Own your own development plan
    • Be able to work both on your own, and within a team
    • Easily absorb new information and then apply it in your day to day work


    • A general interest in IT
    • An enthusiasm for either Software Development or Testing
    • Good time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
    • Motivated self-starter
    • Problem solving skills and a desire to take on a challenge
    • 5 GCSEs A* - D
    • 2 A-levels (or predicted) of A* - C
