    Role Overview

    This role is to manage all IT Suppliers across the Hermes business applying principles of Supplier Management operating within a new supplier framework. This post will involve managing a £9m annual OPEX budget, building strong relationships across customer and suppliers operating at a number of levels ensuring that contracts meet their performance agreements and financial targets. You will play a key role in driving governance, process and delivering innovation through our strategic partners. You will need to be focused and driven with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the ‘Senior IT Supplier and Relationship Manger’ to deliver and adopt a Supplier Framework process for managing the IT suppliers who provide key services to the Hermes business. 
    • Reporting supplier & financial performance at board level
    • Build and drive relationships with IT suppliers aligned to the developing supplier framework, ensuring structured engagement is in place and that the suppliers are appropriately aligned and working towards our business strategy
    • Leveraging the internal tools to instill structure and drive consistency across our IT Supplier portfolio
    • Drive ‘Lowest Cost to Operate’ challenging supplier process and financials to support business cost challenge
    • Supplier Performance Management - Monitor and drive performance of suppliers in relation to their commercial service agreements to ensure agreed SLA’s and KPI targets are being met
    • Deliver the creation of new contractual service agreements for requirements when onboarding new IT suppliers
    • Hold Monthly & Quarterly service reviews driving service support through all Strategic and Tactical service providers
    • Work with the Service Managers to drive supplier escalations, and to assist in reducing 3rd party Incident & Problems tickets as part of improving service and operational stability
    • Work collaboratively with the internal Procurement team to manage new supplier contract onboarding and contract renewals. Take a strategic angle to ensure that our approach to procuring services takes best advantage of market capability and drives efficiency and continual service improvement
    • Instigate future innovation opportunities through leveraging Strategic partner relationships

    Qualifications

    Essential

     

    • ITIL V3 Foundation Certified
    • Proven negotiation skills
    • Understanding of procurement
    • Supplier Management experience
    • Reporting experience
    • Experience of using a service management system such as ServiceNow
    • Ability to develop good relationships
    • Ability to organise and prioritise work in an effective manner
    • Knowledge of Third party support agreement(s)
    • An understanding of Service level agreements and KPI’s
    • Ability to influence and challenge
    • Good understanding of Excel

     

    Desirable

     

    • BCS Supplier Management qualification or equivalent
